The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is updating its Long-Range Statewide Transportation Plan (LRSTP) and gathering public feedback through a statewide survey. The public input will be used to prepare a plan which will identify the goals, policies, needs, and improvement priorities that will set the direction of Kentucky’s transportation system for the next 25 years.
Mayor George Bray encourages Paducah and McCracken County residents to take the survey. Mayor Bray said, “This survey is an opportunity for citizens to be involved in shaping the future of our roads and infrastructure. We want to make sure the voices of Western Kentucky are heard.”
The survey is available online through December 6 at http://GetThereTogetherKY.org. The transportation plan will look at all modes of travel including car, bus, bike, boat, foot, train, or plane. Questions for survey participants include types of transportation used weekly, top priorities for road improvements, funding sources and budget, and transportation vision for the future.
When the LRSTP is completed in late 2022, it will set the stage for all KYTC transportation policy decisions and investment strategies to be made between now and 2045. The previous LRSTP was completed in 2014. |
